State and explain Boyle's law [NEB11]

Boyle's law

Boyle's law states that" at constant temperature volume of certain amount of gas is inversely proportional to pressure exerted on it

Mathematically
Derivation of Boyle's law ,
     V∝1/p
Or  vp = k (constant)

If p¹ v¹ be the volume and pressure of one condition & p² v² be the volume and pressure in second condition then ,

According to Boyle's law
p¹ v¹ = k ,      &    p² v² = k

Since the temperature and volume of certain amount of gas remain unchanged
Hence
               =   [ p¹v¹= p²v² ]  ✓
